The Galápagos Islands are one of my favourite destinations in Latin America. Walking among giant tortoises in the highlands surrounded by mist and fog, snorkelling with sharks just meters from you in the deep waters, swimming with playful baby sea lions off sandy beaches and slowly picking out a path through the large groups of marine iguanas on nature walks. There’s nowhere else like it on earth!
