Travel is one of the most uplifting experiences. There’s no feeling quite like setting off on a journey and being immersed in a new destination. The trips we take expand our horizons and connect us across borders, oceans and continents.
They can also help contribute to lasting, positive change for the people and places we visit.

What does positive impact mean at Jacada?
From the very beginning at Jacada, it was always clear to us that travel should be uplifting for everyone involved, done in a way that respects local communities and preserves the intrinsic value of ecosystems.
Today, Jacada has been recognised as a leader in positive impact travel. We’ve been featured by publications including Travel + Leisure and Forbes for both the journeys we plan and our trailblazing approach.
We believe that when managed responsibly, tourism can be an incredibly powerful catalyst for change. It can help to preserve culture, history, biodiversity and heritage. And the economic benefit generated can also finance solutions to some of the world’s most complex societal and environmental challenges.
Responsible travel is something that our team takes seriously. For many, it was the reason they joined Jacada. The concept of positive impact has been woven into our ethos, since Jacada was founded.
Our guiding principles
Jacada’s Positive Impact Principles serve as the framework through which we assess all of our choices. We constantly strive to expand our knowledge and hold ourselves – and our partners – to account.
The Jacada Impact fund
Jacada contributes $20 per person, per trip, directly into the Jacada Impact Fund. This allows us to scale our commitment to positive impact through specific, measurable projects – and ensures a transparent, impactful contribution on behalf of everyone that travels with us
The fund’s inaugural project, Female Guides of the Future, seeks to play a part in addressing the gender inequality currently found within the safari industry.
Sustainability isn't a competition, it's a collaboration. And when we align as an industry to create positive change, we don't just create a better world for travel, we create a better world.

A new approach to positive impact
You expect the best from us in every aspect of the trips we plan. Behind your itinerary is a comprehensive strategy, so you can trust your itinerary meets our standards for responsible tourism. Where the opportunity exists, we go further, seeking out experiences and properties that create a genuine positive impact.
Our guides, partners and hotels are chosen with care and diligence, guided by our Positive Impact Principles. We aim to prioritise the voices of local communities in shaping the experiences we arrange. And extensive training from institutions including the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC,) alongside regular research trips, ensure our team is educated and empowered.
We used proprietary methodology and rigorous analysis to launch the Positive Impact Collection and now work with a third party to independently verify new properties. These exceptional properties and experiences contribute to tackling global challenges – such as poverty, inequality, climate change and environmental degradation – and have been selected in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Your trip, your story
No two trips planned by Jacada look alike.
You might take inspiration from some of our favourite itineraries. Or you might ask us to craft a journey that aligns with your personal interests and passions.
