The Pacific Coast of Mexico invites you to explore a region packed full of breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture, a quieter alternative to the busier Caribbean shores. Dip beneath the surface of the crystal-clear waters around the Marieta Islands and discover a thriving marine ecosystem, or hang ten when you visit the surf town of Sayulita.

Beyond the waves, the Pacific Coast is a destination wonderfully suited to families – from curious little ones to adventurous teens. There is so much to discover. Punta Mita

Imanta

Situated along a two-mile stretch of private beach within its own private reserve and overlooking, Imanta is a little slice of heaven on the Pacific side of Mexico. Although the property is set on 250 acres of jungle and coastal land, there are just 12 luxury villas nestled amnongst the tropical palms. There are ten one-bedroom casas and two three-bedroom casonas, made from local stone with a distinctive soft pink hue. Interiors feature contemporary Mexican decor with textiles embroidered by the local community and lots of natural materials, including huge bath tubs carved from rock in some of the suites. Many of them also feature private plunge pools. The larger casonas are perfect for small groups and have their own living and dining areas, private pool and Jauzzi and outdoor dining area. There is also the option for a private chef so you really don’t have to worry about a thing. Located a five-minute drive from the main hotel is the Treehouse, an exquisite three-level accommodation that is the ultimate escape. Guests are free to use the facilities at the hotel, but are far enough away to enjoy total seclusion and privacy. Imanta boasts two fantastic restaurants; the relaxed Catch of the Day, serving a lunch menu of Mexican dishes and fresh seafood right on the beach, and the elegant Tukipa, serving delicious seasonal cuisine for breakfast and dinner. And don’t miss the super romantic Observatorio bar, with fabulous cocktails and incredible views. Other facilities on the property include a relaxing spa, with open-top cabins that let you appeciate the sounds of the ocean and the forest, and a fitness centre. There is so much to discover here, and during your stay at Imanta you can bike and hike through the reserve, kayak and snorkel the pristine waters, and even play golf at the nearby 18-hole course.

Punta Mita

Four Seasons Punta Mita

This superb beach front hotel exudes 5-star luxury at every turn. From the perfectly manicured grounds to the super helpful staff, the attention to detail at Four Seasons Punta Mita will ensure your visit is firstly, suitably luxurious (as one would expect from the Four Seasons) and secondly, truly special. There are 173 rooms and suites in total, all beautifully decorated and well appointed with all the modern amenities you would expect from a property like this. Plasma screen TVs, high speed Internet access and iPod docks come as standard, as do private balconies or terraces and L’Occitane bath products. The hotel boasts four excellent restaurants, several stylish lounge bars and an extensive Spa. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to its leisure facilities, which include swimming pools, tennis courts, two private beaches and two Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses.

Puerto Vallarta

One&Only Mandarina

An irresistible combination of luxury and beautiful surrounds, One&Only Mandarina is nestled between lush jungle and glittering ocean, with no shortage of gorgeous views. There are 104 stand-alone accommodations here which range from treehouses to cliff-top villas. Each offers you complete privacy and boasts a pool and impressive ocean, jungle and mountain views. It’s the ideal destination for guests looking to fill their days with outdoor activities. There are various nature trails to discover which take you through rainforests, across flatlands and onto sandy beaches. or head down to the resort’s private jetty and go sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing or whale watching. Cuixmala

La Playa
