A very peaceful place to stay amidst its well-attended gardens, mountainous valley location and the nearby river; Samari is arguably the best place to stay in Baños with lots of local character and attentive service from its staff.

The building, originally a colonial monastery, is quite rustic but its rooms are spacious and come with all the expected amenities. Strewn with antiques and an interior courtyard with an indoor pool, the hotel can feel quite juxtaposed in its styling yet at the same times gives it a unique edge.

The hotel itself is about one kilometre outside the town.
