Titicaca, Bolivia

Posada del Inca

Traditional Colonial Style Hacienda

Designed to hug the Quechuan agricultural terraces of one of Lake Titicaca’s largest islands, Posada del Inca is a colonial-style hacienda and eco-lodge nestled amongst the pine and eucalyptus trees on the top of the Isla del Sol (Sun Island).

Posada del Inca’s sand-coloured lodges are surrounded by beautifully kept tiered gardens filled with flowers and have sweeping views of the lake and the snow-tipped Andes.

The rooms all have private bathrooms served with hot water and heating from the hotel’s solar panels and are decorated with restored antiques and locally-made furniture.

Believed to be the birthplace of Incan civilisation and their Sun God, Isla del Sol is a preserved archaeological site with no paved roads, no motor vehicles but with over 80 Incan ruins to visit and many more activities to enjoy.
