Sip world-class wine, dance the tango and explore awe-inspiring natural beauty

Home to romantic cities, spectacular cuisine and stunning scenery, Argentina is a perfect honeymoon destination. You can watch intimate tango shows and drift along the coast on sunset cruises in Buenos Aires. Enjoy private wine tastings and cooking classes amid the picturesque vineyards of Mendoza. And visit authentic estancias (ranches) in Cordoba to ride horses through rolling hills and grassy plains.

Our expert travel designers will create a personalised honeymoon itinerary that takes you to Argentina’s most striking landscapes. One of our favourite destinations is Patagonia, a region full of adventure. Here you can hike or kayak to blue-tinged glaciers, rugged mountains and mirrored lakes while looking out for wildlife like pumas, condors, penguins and whales. Further north, treading the boardwalks of the Garganta del Diablo, or Devil’s Throat, to feel the spray of the magnificent Iguazu Falls on your skin is an unforgettable experience.

You can also combine your time here with a trip to Brazil or Chile. That could be via Iguazu Falls, or by setting sail from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, on a cruise around Cape Horn. Get in touch with us to start planning your luxury Argentina honeymoon today.

Highlights

Have a private lesson in the Argentine tango in Buenos Aires, home of this passionate dance style

Argentina combines excellent food and wine with that sense of adventure. In the North the Iguassu Falls are a very romantic spot, and Patagonia in the south welcomes those with a sense of adventure. A perfect honeymoon could end with a relaxing stay among the vineyards of Mendoza.

When to honeymoon in Argentina

Argentina is a long and narrow country, and the climate varies across its different regions. So the best time to go on honeymoon here depends on what you want to do.

Spring (September–November) and autumn (March–May) are fantastic times to visit Buenos Aires or go wine tasting in Mendoza. Temperatures are pleasant, and the regions aren’t too crowded. March to May is also the best time to go to Iguazu Falls. During these months, the weather is mild and the humidity low. And the water level is still high after the summer rains, so you can see the waterfalls at their most dramatic.

Cape Horn cruises generally operate between October and March, with summer (December–February) bringing calm sea conditions and optimum wildlife spotting opportunities. For hiking in Patagonia, we recommend travelling between November and March (though December can be busy). These months have the longest daylight hours and most pleasant temperatures.
