Yeti Mountain Home Kongde

Wake up to grand views of Mount Everest at one of the highest lodges on the planet. After an eight-hour sherpa-guided trek through high Alpine terrain and cool mountain air, you arrive at the 4,250 metre high Yeti Mountain Home Kongde where the views are, needless to say, sublime.

Besides the majesty of international titan, Everest, you are also surrounded by giants such as Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyo and Gyajung Khang – not forgetting views of Khumbu Valley and Kongde Lake.

Weary trekkers are well looked after here with 12 comfortable rooms which are finished with a combination of traditional Khumbu and modern style, featuring natural wood. The views are spectacular.

The kitchen serves delicious dishes created using organic vegetables grown in the lodge’s own greenhouse. The dining room, which can seat 24 people, has breathtaking views and a sealed chimney, keeping it warm and cosy.
