Buhoma Lodge

Embedded in the surrounding greenery of the Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Lodge is a place where you will feel at one with nature. Blessed with the natural charisma of Bwindi, the location also makes for the perfect place to seek refuge after a full day of mountain gorilla trekking.

The lodge consists of 10 comfortable chalets, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom, balcony and complimentary Wi-Fi. The rooms are charming and exude traditional African architecture. Every chalet has been created using natural eco-friendly materials and is designed to transport you to the outdoors. Some of the chalets also feature a bathtub – perfect for post-trek recovery. Alternatively, guests can also unwind with a massage after their gorilla encounters. At night, you’re invited to drop by the lounge area to cosy up by the fireplace while the in-house chef whips up some amazing dishes.

Besides mountain gorilla trekking, guided forests walks and community visits are also on offer; in addition to spotting the great apes, guests can see several bird species in their natural habitat.

Throughout your stay, you may see or hear animals around the lodge, so you feel like you’re never far from the wild. With the lodge set just steps away from the trek start point, gorillas have been spotted popping in for an occasional visit, while resident monkeys visit the gardens in front of the lodge almost daily.
