Climb the ‘roof of Africa’

As the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain on the planet, Mount Kilimanjaro boasts breathtaking views. Surrounded by large stretches of dry savannah, yet covered in lush forest on its lower slopes, Kilimanjaro presents a distinct ecosystem with a variety of landscapes and terrains. On a luxury Kilimanjaro trek with Jacada, you’ll have professional guides and quality equipment of weatherproof, custom-made sleeping and dining tents in order to ensure your climb is both safe and awe-inspiring.

While reaching the dormant volcano’s snow-capped peak may be a remarkable challenge, we can ease the climb by giving you more acclimatisation time during the expedition. The climb typically takes seven nights at a slow and steady pace, with the first two days spent in the forested lower foothills, before entering the crisp, dry alpine zone on day three. You’ll begin your push for the summit around midnight on the penultimate night, ready to reach the crater as the sun rises.

This spectacular achievement of reaching the ‘roof of Africa’ comes with sweeping views over the landscapes below you, complementing your inspiring sense of accomplishment. Your luxury Kilimanjaro climb pairs perfectly with an exploration of Tanzania’s other magnificent landscapes. Combine it with some rest and relaxation on the paradise island of Zanzibar, or with time on a luxury Tanzania safari in the renowned Serengeti National Park, where you can witness calving season for the migrating wildebeest and spot the Big Five on a game drive.

Get in touch with our Africa travel experts to start planning your once in a lifetime adventure to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
