Lyon
Intercontinental Hotel Dieu

Peaceful spaces with a focus on comfort
You’ll find this contemporary haven standing proud in the centre of Lyon. Intercontinental Hotel Dieu is housed in one of the city’s most emblematic landmark buildings that dates back to the 18th century. The 144 rooms have been designed as elegant, peaceful spaces, where comfort and luxury are the focus. Depending on the room you choose, you’ll enjoy views out over the Rhône River or onto the hotel’s listed historic courtyards.
At Epona Restaurant, on the ground floor, Chef Mathieu Charrois plates a menu focussed on local flavour and featuring French classics with a modern twist. The restaurant is named for the goddess of Gaul, patron saint of horse-riding and travel. Then, on the first floor, Le Dôme Bar is the heart of the hotel and a highlight for locals and guests alike.

Places to combine Intercontinental Hotel Dieu with

The Loire Valley
Located between Amboise and Tours, the Château de Noizay sits within 24 hectares and is surrounded by the vineyards of the Vouvray estate.
There are 19 rooms spread across two buildings, the main château and the Pavillon de l’Horloge. They are traditional in style with rich fabrics, period furniture and ornate detailing and many of them look out over the hotel gardens.
The restaurant is a real celebration of French cuisine with a menu that follows the seasons and a larder bursting with fresh, local produce. Dishes are immaculately presented and both thoroughly French and modern at the same time.
There are bikes for hire and guests can take to the Loire à Vélo trail which runs between Amboise and Tours through the vineyards of Vouvray and Montlouis-sur-Loire. When you’re not out exploring, sink into one of the chairs in the library with a good book, or take a dip in the outdoor heated pool.
